People's health, safety and wellbeing is of utmost importance to the Co-op. We provide safe and healthy work environments so that people can get home safe every day.

The People & Community achievement contributes to the first level of recognition under Our Next Steps, Te Pūtake. To achieve this, you'll need to complete all three sections of the DairyNZ Workplace 360 assessment and achieve 100% on the foundation level.

We need to have great workplaces that attract, motivate, and retain the very best people and enable everyone to thrive. With a high-quality, happy workforce, you can reap the rewards of the good times and help each other during the tough ones. An engaged workforce helps develop the next generation of dairy farmers.

Our customers, consumers and New Zealanders also expect that people work appropriate hours, are treated fairly, remunerated appropriately, appreciated for their differences, and are supported to reach their full potential.

Customers such as Nestlé and Unilever require us to disclose workplace and labour conditions on our supplying farms. The People & Community achievement focuses on enhancing the industry's reputation whilst contributing to strong and healthy communities.
