Drawing on decades of experience delivering high-performance trace elements, Bell-Booth has embarked on a strategy to provide sustainable solutions that add genuine value to farmers’ operations.

The first two key trace elements, selenium and iodine, have been released under the new Bell-Booth brand. The bright orange containers on the shelves in Farm Source stores are synonymous with quality trace elements designed for dosing via Dosatron or similar dispensers.

The Bell-Booth-branded containers are still orange, so you know you are buying the right product to prevent trace element deficiencies in your herd. Look for the new label in the store that clearly states the concentration, and you will see that you are getting more active ingredients in every litre.

This innovative change has reduced the cost per dose, helps to reduce the number of plastic containers on farms, and will ensure farmers have the essential trace elements they need to respond to seasonal variations.

All Bell-Booth products in an orange jerry can or paper bag carry the Dosatron tick of approval. This ensures that the formulation is suitable for water medication. Soluble formulations that remain in suspension are available to the herd via their drinking water.

Dry Cow Trace Element Demand

Cows must build their trace element status pre-calving, but winter’s cold and wet conditions can impact availability. Therefore, implement a high-performance Bell-Booth winter trace element nutrition programme now to prevent deficiencies. Deficiencies can negatively impact animal wellbeing, milk production and reproduction.

If you are concerned about the well-being of your herd or issues surrounding mastitis, lameness, or other ill-health concerns, blood and/or liver tests are recommended well before calving. This is the time of the season to overturn deficiencies, as cows’ demand for calving and mating is high.

Check out the formulations that make up IntenSE 240 or IntenSE 5 so you can start the season off strong.

For organic dairy farmers, ask for the Bell-Booth Intense Organic range.
