Milk Vat monitoring

Summary:

Here you'll find a quick overview of how to monitor your milk vat, what data you can access, what’s shared with Fonterra, and who to contact if something isn’t working.

Milk vat monitoring helps protect milk quality by keeping close control of temperature, volume, and agitation. Early visibility of changes supports quick action, reducing the risk of quality issues or losses.

All the data in the palm of your hand

Whether you're in the dairy shed or out in the paddock, you can monitor your vat's volume, agitation and temperature direct from your mobile phone.

What data is available to me?

All the data you receive with your monitoring system is completely owned by and available to you as a Fonterra Supplier.
  • A few data points are shared with Fonterra around milk volume and milk quality.
  • This shared data helps the tanker fleet operate more efficiently and supports managing off‑farm milk quality risks.
