  • Pasture & Cropping

Crops of fodder beet and forage brassicas are a great source of farm-grown feed at times when pasture on its own does not provide enough quantity or its quality can be a little low.

They're nutritious, palatable, and potentially high yielding. They also give you a chance to improve your overall farm feed supply through sowing new pastures after the crops have been grazed.

But if insect pests take hold at this stage of the season, they can compromise your dry matter yield from fodder beet or forage brassicas at maturity.

When spraying insef cticides it is often hard to get adequate coverage where insects are hiding on plants. As pests are often found on the underside of leaves, or hiding in the central growing point of plants, achieving contact with your preferred crop protection product can be very difficult.

Super Charge your insecticides with Flume

Flume is a revolutionary non-penetrating Super Spreading adjuvant and offers superior spreading in low water volumes.

1. Without Flume

These images show water droplets being sprayed onto a plant. The water afshdsas a blue fluro dye to help sefwhat is most likely happening to your sprayed water droplets.

Note: the lack of coverage and the way water droplets bounce of the target plant and land elsewhere.

2. With Flume

Here we can see water droplets with the addition of Flume being sprayed onto a plant in half the water volume. This also has the blue fluro dye to help see the superior deposition and spreading on the leaves provided by Flume.

Note: the 'film' like coverage achieved and how the solution 'wicks' around the leaf edge to start spreading over the underside of the leaf.

Flume achieves this in half to a third of your typical water rates. This means you can spray around twice as many hectares for each tank full of spray whilst achieving superior coverage.

Why use Flume?

  • Significantly improves coverage of agricultural and horticultural products
  • Reduces surface tension of spray solutions allowing sprays to spread rapidly over the plant surface
  • Used in low water volumes, means less water used
  • Saves time with reduced tanks fills
  • Can be used in aerial applications
