Meet the Need is a farmer-founded and farmer-led charity that aims to address food insecurity by providing fresh dairy, and other quality nutritious protein products to those in need.  The charity was established in response to the growing demand for food assistance and the desire of the farming community to contribute positively to society. By leveraging the surplus produce from farms, "Meet the Need" ensures that high-quality, nutritious food reaches food banks and families across New Zealand.

"Meet the Need" is driven by the core values of generosity, community, and sustainability. The charity's efforts are supported by a network of volunteers, donors, and partners who share a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of New Zealanders facing food insecurity. Through their collaborative approach, "Meet the Need" continues to make a significant impact, fostering a sense of community and support among farmers and recipients alike.

Rural Support Trust is made up of 14 independent charitable Trusts throughout New Zealand, with local rural people in their teams who know from experience that pressures can mount up. Their networks and training can help with all kinds of situations, helping farmers and rural communities get through challenges.

Rural Support Trust is the only organisation that sits around the table face-to-face with our farmers, working through the issues, finding solutions and the necessary support. Most of the people involved with Rural Support Trust are unpaid volunteers, giving back to the Rural communities that they are part of. The biggest challenge to Rural Support Trusts is the increasing number of calls driven by mental health, burnout and depression, farm management challenges, animal welfare, financial pressures, relationship issues and change.

Your donation will go to the Regional Support Trust in your area and will fund initiatives that will benefit local farmers.

Trees for Survival is a school based environmental education programme supporting school communities to grow and plant native plant species in Aotearoa, New Zealand.  Our activity-based programme provides schools with an irrigated shade house and each year potting mix and eco sourced native plant seedlings. The schools are supported to transplant, nurture and then plant the established plants the following year at an annual planting day.

We actively involve NZ students in environmental restoration and collaborate with landowners to host school planting days where their planting helps restore erosion prone land and waterways. Together we are supporting NZ schools to be active and engage in their environment.
