Describing themselves as "small Mum and Dad operators", the Norths own a 450-cow dairy farm just outside of Invercargill at the bottom of the South Island.
Having been in the dairy industry for over 30 years, Carl and Rachel have worked incredibly hard throughout their careers - initially starting out "doing big numbers" as contract milkers and share milkers before eventually going on to become farm owners.
The couple learned about the Farm Source Rewards programme from their local Farm Source field team reps who visit them on the farm, as well as through information in the Enrich magazine.

Rachel says that regular purchases of items like calf milk replacer through Farm Source stores meant their accumulated "very easily".
"We buy all our Ancalf milk powder through Farm Source so that's where we really got a lot of our Farm Source Reward Dollars - through our calf rearing."
With their children nearing the end of their university degrees, Carl and Rachel were keen to treat themselves to something special.
"Because Carl and I work so hard on the farm we needed something to make us smile, so we thought 'what is it that we are going to enjoy?'. We both love muscle cars - we've had muscle cars in the past but when our children came along the muscle cars went - so now that our children are older, we thought we deserved to splash out."
The Norths soon set their sights on a 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye.
"We just saved every penny we could," says Rachel. "Then when we had some Farm Source Reward Dollars that were going to expire, I said to Carl 'look, why don't we just flick everything we've got onto the car'. We figured that we are rearing more calves which means we are going to accumulate more Farm Source Reward Dollars in future, so that is what we did."
Rachel describes the redemption process as "so effortless", saying no sooner had she called the Dream Rewards concierge service than the arrangements for the part payment towards the Dodge had been arranged with the dealership.
"I couldn't believe how quick it was. Between the team there at Farm Source Rewards and 4Guys Autobarn where we bought the car, they just took over, did their talking and sorted it all out for us - it was awesome."
Rachel says the 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye is a special purchase for them so they intend to make some precious memories with it.
"It's not going to be used for going to town to get the groceries and stuff like that. We'll be using it for things like going away for the weekend - that's when we'll take the Dodge," she says.
"You know when you work really hard and you just want something to make you smile? That is what this car is for us."
