  1. Fully remove the string or cut along the top of the bag to remove residue and give a good shake
  2. Ensure bags are clean
  3. Put the bags in their specific liner (either LDPE or PP). Each liner fits 65-70 woven PP bags or 100 LDPE bags
  4. Once full, seal the liner with the zip tie. Each zip tie has a code on it - this is needed for Agrecovery to record your recycling activity
  5. Store in a dry and shaded location.

Please note:

  • Liner bags must be 25kg or under in size
  • Woven PP plastic has the recycling code 5
  • Bags can be no older than 6 months old. Bags that have been stored for long periods may be sun damaged and/or disintegrated and cannot be recycled.

How to recycle Plasbacks

Purchase a bin and liner online or at your local Farm Source store and organise collection when your bin is full.

Contact Plasback for collection services on 0508 338 240, or visit their website.

Agrecovery has worked with the vet medicine industry to develop new schemes to collect waste for their products, and you are now able to recycle your Elanco metabolic solution bags free with Farm Source.

We are not able to accept any recycling that does not meet the following criteria:

  • All tubes and sharps are removed and disposed of separately.
  • Bags are empty.

To recycle, bring them in to your local Farm Source store and drop them into our collection boxes.
